Executive Functions in Children: Implications for Classroom Systems

Building

An increasingly popular term, Executive Functions tend to be one of the most overlooked contributors to academic, social and behavioral problems in children. This workshop, designed for general and special education teachers, will take a practical approach to defining executive functions in children, explore their role in learning and development, and provide a multidimensional framework for accommodating executive function needs in academic settings. Assessment procedures as well as individual and classroom-based intervention approaches will also be discussed. Opportunities for questions and case discussion will also be included.
